  1. Try to stay off your toe and on an outside edge (make sure you flip to an outside right away) for your back spin.  I think back spins are hard!   They take a lot of practice!  :)

Try them as flying camels.....for some reason, my back camel/back sit is most centered from a flying camel.  :)

    Good luck!

  2. With any combo spin, the first spin is most important as it sets up the next spin(s).  Besides it needing to be steady and centered, you want a nice strong entrance to create a fast spin and carry that momentum through each spin in your combo.

You were the lefty, right?  The left forward inside edge should be a deep, short edge.  If the circle is too big and too long, you lose the rotational force that you need for the spin - it makes it harder to center.  Make sure you feel that stretch (head to toe) - chin up, back arched, leg turned out with toe pointing.  You should be spinning on the left outside edge, but do not overcompensate by putting that free hip and shoulder (the right side) up too high - that could cause traveling too.

I'd have to agree with pinksk8ergal on flying camel/back sit - it is easier!!  You get a better rotational force from the entrance, so you spin faster on the back camel (thus making the back sit smoother and faster too!).

    Hope that helps!
