  1. ..hi...welcome to Singapore...

..it all depends where in Malaysia...crossing the border is easy...

..there's the bus or the cab....

...i suggest u check with the Malaysian High Com...whether u need to apply for a visa...unless u are a citizen of Asean countries.

...Go to Queen Street...there are buses and taxis that provide services to Johor Bahru. If the traffic and immigration clearance is good..u can reach JB well within an hour.

..However if u intend to go far such as Kuala Lumpur or Malacca...i suggest u book a bus ticket at Beach Rd...There are travel agents at the Golden Mile Complex building along Beach Rd...

    ..

  2. Depending on where you are in Singapore it doesn't take very long at all.  Just a drive over a bridge.  There are many bus day tours to Malaysia from Singapore and you will need your passport.  Depending on what you like to see (Malaka, floating village, etc) check out the options at you hotel or travel agency when you get there.

  3. ask for a tour. i know that there are agencies which provide a one day trip to malaysia.

if you start off from the central area, it'll take you only about 20 mins or so. but do remember that you still have to line up at the start of the causeway to check your travel documents. it can take as short as 30 mins and as long as 2 hours. so do go early and be prepared. however, going to malacca will take you around 2 hours more and going to kuala lumpur will take you almost 4 hours more.

the tour bus will just bring you around the places which are tourist destinations and attractions. oh, do enjoy the food there; it's really delicious.

other than your passport, you will need a white card issued by the malaysian government. this white card can be gotten from the checkpoint, so don't worry. just remember to bring a pen with you and when you get there, just fill in your particulars on the white card.

enjoy your time in singapore and malaysia! (:
