I was thinking of going with Air France, but maybe Alitalia or Middle East Airlines, as I don't like American airlines (AA, Delta, etc).

  1. There is a million options.

The cheapest would be Etihad airways which fly's direct from the USA to Abu Dhabi, UAE. You wait at AD airport for 2 hours or so then get on a 3 hr flight direct to beirut. Etihad is my favorite airline as well. They have great service.

Or you can take British Airways direct to London then change to a 5hr flight direct to Beirut.

Or even if more expensive, take Emirates direct to Dubai then change fights for a 3 hr trip direct to Beirut.

Or even more expensive fly Lufthansa direct to Frankfurt then a 4 hr direct plane trip to Beirut

Or   Air France direct to Paris then 5 more hours direct to Beirut.

The only way you could use MEA is if you fly a different carrier to France or the UAE (or other arab countries) and change to MEA from that country to Beirut

  2. Air france the best

  3. you have several routes

you can go with alitalia and connect in rome the complete your journey with either alitalia or MEA

you can also find flights with british airways with a connection in London or Swiss Airlines with a connection in Zurich

I dont know if airfrance serves miami but it is also a viable solution.

If you dont like American airlines (like me) your best bet will be with either european companies or middle eastern like emirates and itihad

  4. hmm where r u flying from? I will be going to lebanon soon from houston and I find the cheapest flights on priceline connecting in london. I hate AA also the one I found was with continental and MEA
