if i catch a train from weymouth can i go to strait bristol parkway or do i have to catch another train from temple meads

On most train you have to change at Temple Meads, although there is a  First Great Western service at 11 minutes past odd hours (11 o'clock, 1pm etc) which go straight through. It really depends on at what time and on what day you wish to travel.
