i just got back from a two month trip in europe. I visited frankfurt, berlin, rothenburg, prague, krakow, salzburg, vienna, venice, athens, santorini, corfu, florence, pisa, sienna, paris, london, bruge, brussels, amsterdam, barcelona, nice, bern and lauterbrunnen.  By far my favourites were Krakow and London.  Krakow is full of old world charm.  The food is good, the people are friendly and everything is cheap.  I thought it was like prague, but less dirty! London would have to be another of my favourites.  There is sooo much history and so much to do and see.  It is expensive, but worth it.  And of course I loved Santorini! Who wouldn't!
