Question:

Traveling on your own?

I'm a 19 year old girl and have a week off in September. I want to go on a long haul holiday instead of visiting Europe like I do every summer. Is there anywhere you could recommend that's safe as well as beautiful. Budgets about £500 for a flight.

  1. Mexico!

Or go South Africa and surf. I want a holiday too

  2. Most european countries are very similar, i would recommend Dubai, its very different, and very enjoyable, i am 22 and i used to live there until i was 14, before moving to London.

you will enjoy yourself, and at your age it will be a good experience.

  3. Come to asia! :D Its great for backpacking and cheap too!

It really depends on what you wanna see and what you wanna do!

  4. Since you only have 1 week, I'd recommend Thailand. It's safe, cheap and easy to travel. Stick to Bangkok and surroundings. Nice islands close to Bangkok are: Koh Samet and Koh Chang. Stay away from Pataya, too much s*x-tourism there and the beaches are not that nice.

3 days Bangkok (for sights and shopping) and 4-5 days on an tropical island should be a nice getaway. Pff, I wish I could go!

Take a look at: http://www.earth.org/travel-guide/Bangko... for some more information.

  5. WOW,i will definate love it,have fun ya.........do not forget to bring your waikman, hear songs when boringggggggggg...........

  6. Take it from an older traveller, a week is not enough for a decent long haul holiday.

The most you'll get on the ground is 4 days, by the time you account for getting to and from the airports, check in, flying time and synching body clock to local time.  10 days minimum and for a few quid more it could be New Zealand.  But you'll need a month to see it.
