Hi there,

Im planning to go to Mexico about a month before summer. It was suggested to me that i could land in Canada and work my down through the U.S to Meixco.

I breifly looked and i couldnt find anything about this. So any links would be appreciated.

So i was wondering the easiest (and maybe cost effective) way to do it. I guess bus or train but i don't know what it's like over there.

Also would there be any problems crossing to borders?

Im from the UK btw.

Anyway any links to sites with infomation about this would be great!

Thanks everyone.

  1. Sorry, I do not have any links for you.  I am unsure of where in Canada you will be landing and where in Mexico you want to go.  Also not sure of what stops in the U.S. you want to make.  You may want to check out mapquest.com

However, you will certainly have a passport so crossing any borders will be fine.

If you decide to rent a car to drive through the U.S. do not take it into Mexico.  Check with the rental company, they can give you all the details on why you should not do this.

  2. i would hitchhike all the way to Mexico cheapest way to travel plus you get to meet all types of people.

  3. Save yourself some time and money. Just fly into a western US state and chances are you could end up in an over populated Mexican community. The billboards will be in spanish, signs on businesses will be in spanish and also local office buildings will have spanish speaking people working there to answer all you questions. If not call first, you will be given the option to speak to somebody in spanish. By doing this you will save "Mucho Dollars".
