Question:

Traveling to Chile?

I have a friend in Chile and some friends and I would really like to go visit her. The problem is, one of us will be 17 and the other 2 will be 16. I checked flights just to get an idea of price and it said that under 18 must travel with an adult. But there is no way I can get an adult to go. So I was wondering if that is a strict rule that I can't get around or if it's just an internet precautionary measure or what? Do I have to travel with an adult to go to Chile?

  1. ask immigration

  2. Appears to me that if young kids can travel as "unaccompanied minors", it seems strange you can't. Have you called the airlines, or only got this info on the net?

American Airlines, Delta, Lan Chile amongst others.
