Traveling to China... What to buy? What is the quality of suit's Shirts, ties?

I have heard that Suits are cheap in China but unless you pay for a high quality suit you get junk. Is the same for ties?

Here in Shanghai most people get suits and shirts made at the Fabric Market, http://www.vagablond.com/2444/, I have had friends get great suits back from there, but, some of my friends have had shirt pockets fall off shortly after buying them and washing them

ties you can get for 10rmb and up and they are all good, I never bought a bad tie in China

there are some taylors here that are great but of course you will pay for it

I have not been to China but we have employees who go there every quarter for business trip but don't seem to buy alot of things from there.  I mean most of the clothes we have in the US are made in China and I believe the quality is not that great if your buying it directly from international.  My suggestion is unless you go to high quality department clothing store then you might find something cheap and better.

everythings fake, no matter where you go, from dvds to cars, good luck finding the original stuff, and even if it is orginal, it will be manufactured in china which means the quality wont be as good as if u were to buy it in US.

China is the silk's hometown. There are many native high-end suit,shirt and ties brand in China.

I can recommend some native high level brand for you. Many successful men often buy them.
