  1. Take euros and convert them at the airport in Havana. There is a 10 % surcharge on usa dollars so euros is the best deal.Convert them to CUC.Hope you have a neat time.Cuba is a great choice.

  2. Hard currency, including dollars can be exchanged for pesos

  3. You can't bring any CUC with you because it's only in Cuba where you will find them and be able to exchange your money to. So you won't be able to go to a bank and change your money over from home.

Wherever you are travelling from, take your currency and exchange to CUC (only for tourists) there in Cuba (airport, hotels, banks, Cadeca). And be sure to change your money back upon leaving (again because CUCs have no value anywhere outside of Cuba)....unless you want it as a souvenir.

Also travellers cheques and credit cards that are non-US based are accepted.

Sterlings/UK pounds, Euros and CAD can be converted without charge (unlike the US dollars)....so those will be the currencies best take.

  4. In the tourist establishments, the Cuban Convertible Peso (CUC) is the one you should use. )

  5. Take the Euro or the Canadian dollar DONT TAKE THE US DOLLAR as the exchange rate is the bigest

  6. Bring to Cuba euros, canadian dollaras, Mexican pesos, etc.   NO US DLLS.   (you will lose 10% when exchange).

Then, get CUC (Unidad Convertible Cubana) when you get to the airport.

    That simple.
