Traveling to Dominican Republic from USA... & INeed help!!!!?

I am going to Dominican Republic on the 24th of June, I was told that our money is worth soooo much more over there. Is that true??? and how much is a USA dollar worth over there? Does it amount to the same. Is everything there expensive so it measures to the same as US dollars or is everything there cheaper so youre saving??? someone please help very important!!!

It's be bettter if you bring your american money and get it changed there..

Yet always make sure to bring both pesos (Local currency) and american dollars with you while out shopping or w/e.

I say this because people will very often give you a different price (Which may change up to 30%) if you pay in pesos or dollars.

Usually they will charge you less if you pay in pesos.
