Traveling to India in summer and stop over in Italy?

I am traveling to India in summer and want to stop over in Italy. How many days I should plan to stay in Italy? I want to visit Florence, Venice, Rome if possible Leaning tower of Pisa. What airlines allows stopover? I am located in west coast(San Francisco) of USA?

u need one month to visit most important cities of Italy. They are so rich of culture, tradition and u don't spend only one days to go throughout Florence or Venice and so for others. About airlines I suggest to you to search on web, in the main airline companies, every day could be good.
