  1. There are trains from Milano Centrale station to both Como and Verona. See: http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html for prices and schedules.

The train to Verona takes about an hour and a half to 2 hours depending on the type of train. .It's a nice rout past Brescia and Lago Garda. A second class ticket will be between 7.10 and 13 euro depending on the train.

When you get to Verona turn right out of the station and pass the bus terminal to get to the old town and cross the street. It's about a 15 - 20 minute walk to Piazza Bra. You will pass an old city gate (Porta Nuova) along the way. You can also take a bus from the station - tickets are available at the news stand. Pass to the left of the Arena - the big Roman colosseum - and follow the shopping street to it's end. Turn right. Juliet's house is a block or two on the left through an arch. There's also Juliet's tomb in another part of the city and Romeo's house on the street behind the tombs of Verona rulers.

Como is 40 minutes to an hour on the train (around 6.50 euro). A second option to get to Como is to take a train from the Cadorna station to the lake.

    Have a great time!

  2. If you're going to be doing a lot of train travel in italy, consider the ItaliaRail Italy pass. they start at about 150 euro and go all the way up to 500 euro depending on the amount of travel you plan on doing.

  3. SO easy, just hop on a train.

Train travel is very common in Italy.

Just show up at the train station, tell them where you want to go, pay for the ticket, and go to the designated track, get on the train and you are on your way.
