  1. Leon is a great place to shop for leather wear, especially leather jackets, pants, skirts. It's the leatherwork capital of Mexico. For something really different, you might enjoy going to the leather market. It's just like other Mexican covered markets, except... instead of piles of tomatoes and avocadoes and nopales, there are piles of leather pelts of every kind and color. Also leatherworking tools, dyes, etc. It's a real working market.

Guanajuato city is much mroe interesting than Leon. Do visit the Mummy Museum. Also the Juarez theater that the University. Visit the Alhondiga Museum for a  look at the history of Mexico's Independance movement.

My favorite museum in Guanajuato is the Diego Rivera house. It doesn't have a lot of his more famous works, but it has  many early pieces. You can actually see him develop as he studies Picasso, matisse, Chagall, etc until he finally emerges with the true Diego Rivera style. Fascinating. Also, go up to the Pipila Monument for the best view of the town. Guanajuato's a very pretty town and great for just walking around.

In Queretaro, make your way to the historic centro. There are some very  nice pedestrian-only streets lined with interesting shops. It's pretty and clean with a nice ambiance.

And while you're in the neighborhood, why not visit San Miguel de Allende? It's the prettiest of all those towns, the easiest to negotiate (because it's smaller) and the friendliest. You'll be very welcomed there.

  2. dont u meen Guanajuato?well i went 2 visit my family there and they have lots of unique shops and museums and they give you this little tour where they drive you around and show you all the historical landmarks.i had alot of fun there but im not sure what websites to provide.
