Traveling to New York for the first time?

I'm planning to go to New York City for the first time..... it will be for the end of november or starting december. I was wondering how is the climate for those days. I'm from Puerto Rico, so, im not used to cold temperatures. What kind of clothing should i pack? if you have any tips please let me know. Thank You!

It's pretty cool that time of year.

Um...stuff like Jeans, pants, t-shirts, sweaters...a jacket or light coat. Remember to bring gloves, a hat, and a scarf.

My friend, just pack some warm clothes. For example, a jacket, a few sweaters, a knit cap. It can get real cold at the end of November.

Ok so quite a chilly time of year to be going. The average monthly temeratures in New York City ranges from 5 to -1 degrees so pack warmly and sensibly. Puffa jackets are always good.

well first thing first i think you will have a great time here in new york if you go to the right place'S....BUT back to your questions it will be cold most likely im pretty sure so pack like long sleeve shirts coats hat gloves warm clothing no shorts or nothing like that and if you dnt have none of these things shop around ny they will deffinitely have these things...so hope you have a great time down here and hope i answered your question good luck..

You've chosen a lovely time to visit, because that's when the holiday decorations go up.  It's an amazing time to be in New York City.  

The weather can vary, but it certainly will not be warm.  Pullover sweaters, pants, a jacket or coat, and, yes, to be safe, a hat, scarf and gloves.  It's not a very rainy or snowy time of year, usually, but don't forget an umbrella.  

And, don't worry--if you find you need something, you can certainly buy it there.  Can you get cold-weather clothes in Puerto Rico?  I'll bet you never need them there.  :-)
