  1. My wife and I travelled to Paris last November.

We stayed at Mercure Hotel near the red light district, Moulin Rouge, a train station and surely a fun place to walk around.

We were booked by our tour company.

Many tourists are staying in this place.

    Free continental breakfast.

I guess the price is affordable.

  2. All of the best westerns in France are great.  The one in Paris, my friend broke the elevator, lol.

  3. You might enjoy the Hotel d'Angleterre at 44, rue Jacob in the  6th. Its very well located in the heart of the St. Germain neighborhood.

Ernest Hemingway stayed there in the 1920's. The building was the British Embassy in the 18th century.

A few blocks west in the 7th arrondissement is the Hotel Verneuil on a very quiet street just off Saint Germain des Prés at 8 Rue de Verneuil.

  4. You could try the George Sanc. I winter in Paris and its great to walk its quite romantic, the Taxi drivers are the rudest in the world and that goes for pretty much all of the service industry, they act as though they are doing you a favour. If you are American its quite a shock as Yanks have an excellent service sector record, they cant do enough to help you ,

  5. hi  jeffjlm,

If you looking for a good and reasonable hotel try to find it according to guest reviews are submitted by hotel customers after their stay at the hotel. They are opinions of guests that reflect their experiences when staying at the hotel. In my point of view and myself  experience, with the link below you will find focus and comprehensive information to choose the best hotel for your needs. (for example hotels in Champs Elysées)

P.S - They have nice option view the selected hotels on the     map of the city.

Enjoy your stay in amazing Paris.

  6. Can't recommend a hotel, but take the train out to see Le Pere Lachaise Cemetery in eastern Paris where Jim Morrison is buried.  His grave is nothing special but the cemetery dates back centuries and has unique graves.  Have fun.
