Traveling to Rome,What are the restaurant price's like?

I have been living in Rome for the past 4 and a half years and the first thing you should know about traveling here is that the euro is really high compared to the dollar.

Regardless of the time of year you are traveling, you will find and unlimited amount of great restaurants.  I live in the old district of Rome called Trastevere and they are known for their restaurants and bars.

In Trastevere:

-Da Gildo: an amazing restaurant with home made roman dishes.  Meals are around 20 euro per person including a half liter of house wine which is amazing.

-Taverna Trilussa: a little more pricey than Da Gildo but known for their meats and also offer typical roman dishes as well.  Meals per person are around 30-35 euro per person and they are only open for dinner.

-Antica Pesa:  An amazing restaurant!!!  Pricer than the previous two but well worth the money!  It is just up the street from Da Gildo and also feature Roman dishes.  Meals per person range from 40-50 euro per person but worth every bit.  I will put their website in sources.

There are many more restaurants in other parts of the city that are very good as well:

-The Jewish Ghetto

-Around the Pantheon

-Prati/Vatican Area

As for the Restaurants above I highly recommend al of them but you can't go wrong in the other parts of the city listed above.

If you are from the US, you are going to get hit hard on the Euro conversion, so all prices are going to seem high, but compared to say New York, the prices are cheaper and the quality of the food is better.  

No need to spend big bucks in Italy at restaurants.  Some of the best in the world are the smaller trattorias in Rome that will probably set you back 9 Euro for a killer plate of pasta and 11 Euro for a Pizza for two.
