Traveling to Scottland for 6-8 months, want to be able to work. What Visa do i apply for?

I'm a 21 y/o male, traveling with another 21 y/o male, our reason for the trip is to visit Scottish friends of ours, and play low level rugby with their local club. We have limited money to travel with and being able to work is almost a necessity. any idea what the best visa to apply for would be?

  1. Are you American citizens.  if so, you may visit Scotland for a max oc 6 months as tourists without a visa, but may not work.  To work in the u.K. you must first have an employer...usually you nedd to be a professional.  There are no casual work visas .  See sites below to read aout working in the U.K.
