Traveling to Tamarindo,Costa Rica - Suggestions please!?

Buddies and I are traveling to Tamarindo, Costa Rica 4/10-4/17. 6 guys going and all first timers to CR. Any suggestions/ideas/tips would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!

Well, here is a little map to show you the area. It is nothing but beaches all along the coast, so if you are not too set on staying in Tamarindo the whole time, I recommend going to a few different places.

North of tamarindo is Playa del Coco with good night life.

If you are a serious surfer, there are breaks all the way south of Tamarindo too.

Best place to stay is the Hotel Diria in Tamarindo that you can get for $50.00 per night plus taxes!

A first rate hotel with a Continental breakfast that will knock your socks off!

And right on the beach!

I stay there every time I go to Tamarindo which is like every two years.
