I was wondering if I need to purchase some sort of an electrical adapter to use with my electronics (( such as a hair dryer ))? I wasn't sure if since it is British if they have different outlets then the US? Any input would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks! = ]

  1. Voltage in the BVI is 110/220v. Visitors can use American appliances without an adaptor.

Tortola is a really beautiful island so enjoy every bit of ur time spend there. It may be small but the ppl are really friendly and has some of the most beautiful white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters in the Caribbean. Cane Garden bay was my absolute favorite

  2. The electrical outlets are the same as USA. They also use dollars as their currency.

Have a great time in the BVI. It's another piece of paradise.

    Enjoy)

  3. outlets are the same as US, bigest problem is power outages...I was there for 3 weeks in 10/07, power went out ev eryday, sometimes 10 mins, sometimes 5 hours
