Traveling to Victoria, BC for 20th anniversary?

Hi, there! We're looking for a very nice hotel to stay in in both Victoria and also Vancouver for a week in early July. Also would love ideas on nice restaurants and good deals on rental cars.

Check the link below for hotels in both Victoria and Vancouver.  The Empress in Victoria is a landmark in the city and is situated directly in front of the Inner Harbour.

For hotels in Victoria, you could stay at The Empress Hotel on Government Street, or there is also the Laurel Point Inn on Montreal Street. These ones might be a little pricey, but if you look at Travel BC (http://www.travel.bc.ca/features/victori... you could probably find one you like.

For restaurants, I would go to San Remos on Quadra Street. Its a lovely little place with delicious food. There is also the Tea Room in the Empress, I've never been, but I heard its quite good. There are also a few other restaurants in there too.

As for rental cars, I can't really help since I can't drive yet.

If you have the money...The Fairmont Empress. It's right downtown, elegant and chocked full of history. Victoria is a beautiful city. There are a lot of good restaurants right downtown. I haven't been for a few years, so I don't want to name any, just in case they've changed.

Since it's your 20th anniversary, yes, I'd say splurge on your accomodation at the Empress.

Great location, great everything.

As for nice restaurants, there are plenty of choices.

You can check all that at the Tourist Information centre on the harbor, just a few steps from the hotel.
