Traveling to Wigan on wednesday, any nice pubs or good places to eat in the town centre?

it will be at a lunchtime, like engish, chinese, italian, is there any buffet places in wigan town centre. we are coming from warrington on the bus, i think the bus station is near, the galleries? if i am right. thanks Simon
