I am planning on taking a trip to the middle east as I am lebanese/armenian and I want to take to take a cultural tour of my roots. I am hoping to stop in both arab countries (jordan, lebanon, turkey) and israel, but my family tells me that it is logistically very difficult because once you have a israeli stamp in your passport (US) many countries wont grant you entrance, and visa versa. What's the best way (other than getting a second passport to organize this so that I can enter both types of countries? Serious Answers Only. Thanks

  1. I would consider visiting the other countries first & then visit Israel.

I am Jewish & I visited Jordan to go see Petra. While the Israeli side gave me no problems returning from Jordan, Jordan itself detained me at the border to Illat.

  2. You can enter Israel from Jordan.

Stamps from Lebanon won't prevent you from entering Israel, but you might be questioned about your visit there.

I understand that when visiting Israel you can ask them not to stamp you passport and get a leaflet instead.

I also know that you can't enter Lebanon if you have an Israeli stamp in your passport.
