I am planning on flying to CDG in a week. my hotel is in the south of the Latin quarter. I'm staying in Marriott Rive Gauche Hotel located at 17 boulevard Saint Jacques.

I will have one piece of luggages. I really rather not pay 50 euros for taxi.

What are my other options?

  1. There is a bus that runs from the airport to the Opera for about 25-30 euros. It picks up at the same location as the buses that run to disneyland. It drops you right by the Opera metro stop which is very very cheap and goes anywhere in the city. Just check out the metro map or ask for help when you get there!

  2. o god you'll be in a very nice quarter, its in the heart of Paris, near Notre-Dame and the Seine river.

Thats a young quarter (University la Sorbonne, one of the best and oldest in France), Luxembourg garden is old and wonderful.

The train is the good plan [, you'll only have to take 1 RER B (blue) if you stop at St MIchel-Notre Dame or Luxembourg (Latin quarter)].

A lot of shops, museum, garden, good restaurants etc.....

Saint Jacques is known, i tought it was an expensive street ?

Have a good travel and if you need help you can contact me, i live at 10min from Paris by train (Gare du Nord).

  3. Take the RER B (the light rail line) from CDG into Paris to the Denfert-Rocherau  RER station. Its about a 45 minute ride.

From there you can either walk or transfer to the Metro line 6 and get off at the first stop which is the St. Jacques station. Its probably easier to walk. The distance to the hotel from the RER station is only .6 km which is less than 2000 feet.
