I am a seventeen year old US citizen who will be traveling throughout the UK to visit relatives, and I was wondering if I needed a notarized letter of consent from both parents to enter the country.

  1. You won't need a notarised letter of consent, but it would be sensible to bring a letter of invitation from the relatives you are staying with, and your itinerary, with contact phone numbers of the relatives.  Immigration will assume your parents allowed you to travel and will be more concerned that you have somewhere to stay and will not take work to support yourself (illegal) during your visit.

  2. All you need to enter the country is your passport. You might be asked some questions at immigration but they will not stop you from entering for traveling alone.

  3. Despite the fact you beat the s..t out of us years ago...we don't hold a grudge LOL you only need a valid passport for the UK. Have a great trip.
