  1. You certainly need an authorization duly singed by both parents, and probably even with a signature check by a Public Notary before you can departure with the baby elsewhere. You should check with the Federal Police and with the airline as well to make sure nothing goes wrong.

You and the parents are also probably considering that the baby will miss them, his home, his routine... it depending on how old he is. I strongly recommend that you stay a lot alone with the baby before going for such adventure as he needs to get used to you gradually.... It may be a very nice and very though experience at the same time. Good luck!!!

  2. Your whole situation (just my opinion) is a BAD idea.

But at the very least you will need a letter of permission to travel with their child.

  3. If you are flying, both you and the baby will need  passports.  Both parents must sign for the child's passport and they must have proper I.D. to do that.  See 1st site below.  If you are travelling by LAND, you will need your birth certificate and a photo I.D. and the baby needs his birth certificate.  You Must have a notarized letter from the parents.  See 2nd site and read section on minors under "Entry rquirements."  This IS a great responsibility and a million things could go wrong...so think long and hard about this.  When the parents entered the U.S .illegally, they made this choice for themselves and their children...to be separated from family...that is NOT your fault or responsibility...it is the consequence of their actions.  Hopefuly, they plan to return to Mexico after working in the U.S. for a while.

  4. Call an airline, they should be able to tell you where to find the answer. I would think this would be a difficult thing to do, in fact I'm worried if it isn't. Imagine if someone could leave the country with your child with no verification that it is not an abduction. Scarey thought.
