I'm flying on a 14 hour flight and I want to take my laptop. I have a power cord that has an interchangeable wall plug or lighter plug option. Would a Boeing 747-400 in coach class have a place for me to plug in my laptop?

In case it matters, it's an EL AL flight from NYC or Miami to tel Aviv.

  1. They do have electrical sockets on some airlines/flights but not all - theres not an easy way to tell, but you could just ring them up on the phone and ask. I've flown where there have been and also have not been sockets. Same with trains, too..

  2. Go to seatguru.com and put in the information about your airline, plane, and it gives you the features of the plane and comments on the best and worst seats.  I never travel without checking seatguru.com

  3. i am not sure because a few years ago i went on a flight and they told me to put away my cell phone when i took it out i would say the best answer to that question coming from me is probably no you should ask somebody who probably went on that flight that's the best thing to do at least that's what i think

  4. I just got back from vacation and we flew on the same plane and they didn't have anything for me to plug my laptop into : /

I did make sure to charge it ahead of time though, just in case. And be sure to bring your charger along anyways so you can recharge it when you get there for the flight home.
