Ok, so please don't call me stupid for asking this, if you have a negative response look at your self in the mirror and tell yourself so you feel better =)

I would just like to be re-enforced on my thoughts.

So, my question: If some one was traveling...say from Texas to Oregon could they use some one else's license and make a joint account with some one and travel with that information? I recently met some body who claims that he used his cousins debit info and license to travel from Texas to Oregon. I don't think that's legal or possible but could I be wrong?

  1. If you give someone permission to use your debit card, then he can use it legally;  if he signs your name, it's not forgery if he has your permission to do so.

A drivers license doesn't work that way -- if you give someone perrmission use your license as identification, it doesn't matter -- your permission doesn't make it legal.

but if they look enough alike, I'm sure they could get away with it, long as nothing really bad happened.  Like a highway fatality in which your friends aunt & uncle get a call to come to Oregon & identify their son's body and when they arrive, turns out to be your friend instead.  what a nightmare!

  2. Your question is vague and not easy to understand.  Each person must have their own Identification and certainly each must have their own drivers license  but two people can be listed on lets say a credit card or bank account but not on a drivers license
