Traveller’s Tales will be competing in the Back Or Lay at Betdaq.com Handicap at Kempton on 21st March, 2012. Her opponents in this race are Burnhope, Ocean Myth, Rogue Reporter, Chambles, Zuzu Angel, Hugenot, Diamond Marks,
Manomine, and Compton Target. They will be racing at about 7 furlongs for £2,264.
The three-year-old filly has had an impressive record, as she recently finished as a runner-up. Paired with Keiran O’Neill, she was defeated by ½ a length by Fugitive Motel, in the Play Golf At Marriott Lingfield Maiden Stakes at Lingfield on 28th
February, 2012. The odds were in her favour as she raced as the favourite with odds of 1 to 3.
Trained by Richard Hannon, the aforementioned performance was an improvement from her sixth place finish in the Oddschecker.com Nursery at Yarmouth on 25th October, 2011.
The daughter of Cape Cross, out of mare Lost In Wonder, looks in good shape, but she is up against some tough competitors.
The Scott Dixon trained bay gelding, Burnhope, delivered an impressive performance in the Play Blackjack At Bluesq.com Stakes at Lingfield on 4th February, 2012, but he will be making his debut on this track. He succeeded over
Roxelana, by 1 length to win the race.
Coupled with Billy Cray, he finished third in his career debut, finishing 8 lengths after second placed, Third Half, in the Bramley Apple Median Auction Maiden Stakes at Southwell on 24th October, 2011.
The lightly raced son of Choisir, out of Isengard, has had a solid start to his career. The three-year-old gelding has already showed immense potential despite his inexperience.
The Andrew Reid trained bay filly, Chambles, has a slight advantage on this track opposed to the other competitors. She has raced at Kempton twice, finishing third in the 32Red.com Handicap on 12th January, 2012.
The daughter of Shamardal, out of Pants, finished as a runner-up recently at Kempton on 29th February, 2012. Mounted by David Kenny, she was defeated by the race favourite Clodhopper by a length in the Jockey Club Venues Fillies’
Handicap.
The bettors are in favour of, Traveller’s Tales, based on her previous performances. She was the race favourite in the last two races, which add to the possibility of her doing well in this race. If luck is on her side, she might emerge victorious.
Chambles looks like a strong competitor in this race. Her experience at Kempton is something that will definitely work in her favour. She has shown remarkable improvement and with her training, she might finish in second place.
Burnhope is stirring some interest, but it cannot be said for certain how he will perform at Kempton. There is a possibility that he might finish in third place.
