  1. There are places to go fruit or vegetable picking pretty much all round Aus. Go to www.jobsearch.gov.au

  2. start from the beginning................

  3. Get yourself a Working Holiday visa. It is for 12 months and you can work at any job for up to 6 months (and/or study for up to 4 months). I think you're from the UK and if so and if you work on seasonal work in a designated regional area for 3 months (doesn't have to be 3 months on end) during your first WH visa, you will be able to get a second one for an additional 12 months.

For all the information you will need, go to :

    http://www.immi.gov.au/visitors/working-...

The .immi site is the official government site and is completely up to date and accurate. Some other answerer's info is out of date.

  4. Citizens from Germany, Britain, Canada, Ireland, The Netherlands, Japan, Italy, Japan, Korea, and Malta are able to apply for a Working Holiday Visa (WHV) which allows for a stay of up to a year and the ability to work for any single employer for a maximum of three months. The visa also permits full time study for up to three months.

Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 30, have no children, and be able to prove they have access to a sufficient amount of startup funds which may vary depending on which country you're coming from. You are only able to get the visa once in your lifetime and you must enter Australia within one year of receiving it. Though WHV holders are able to leave and re-enter Australia as often as they life, the visa will only be valid for a year from the date of entry and will not stop and start as you come and go. The WHV is not renewable.

If you are visiting Australia and you wish to work you will require a current and appropriate Working Visa.

These may be obtained from the Department of Immigration . For further information and online service visit http://www.immi.gov.au/visitors/working-...
