  1. You need to show your prepaid round-trip plane ticket, have confirmation of your hotel reservations, sufficient funds for all the "typical tourist" stuff (some cash and a credit card or two, latest bank statement generally suffice).  You have to fill out a landing card on the plane and hand it over with your passport to be stamped.  You may be granted at most 30 days tourist visa for US citizens.  So make sure your return/onward flight reservation is scheduled within 30 days of your departure from the US.

  2. As a US citizen, you do not need a visa.  Your passport will be stamped, they will ask you about the purpose of you visit etc.  Have the hotel and return flight details to hand when you arrive.  You will probably have to complete a landing card.
