Travelling from Calais to Vendee in France would like to know the best route with?

overnight accomadation , is it best to book a motel or just as they say do it on speck and look for somewhere on the way as and when we want to stop on the way .

I assume you mean the Department of Vendée. From Calais to the heart of Vendée is only a six hour drive.(637 km).

The most likely place to stop would be either at Rouen (214 km) or Le Mans (424 km).
