Travelling from Limone @ Lake Garda to Florence - What is the best form of public transport and easiest route?

Catch the APTV bus to Desenzano (1.5 hr trip) or take the ferry to Desenzano. The bus stop in Limone is at:  Bar Turista via 4 Novembre 29. There are also a couple of stops at hotels in the Limone area.

From Desenzano catch a train to Verona and transfer to a train to Florence. You can purchase the train ticket for the whole trip in the Desenzano station. The train trip will be 3.5 to 4 hours using an intercity train to Verona and Eurostar from Verona and cost 29 euro (41 euro 1st class) 2nd class. It can cost less if you take slower trains.

While in Limone, take the ferry across to Malcesine - another very nice town with a good castle.
