  1. Check out http://www.sbb.ch/en/  It gives you full planning tools incl. timetables and fares.  2.5-3 hrs by train.

  2. www.sbb.ch

that's swiss railway - the official homepage...

there is no other railway u can take...

except small mountain railways all is sbb - or rented to them

  3. Well I've been in both these cities.I'm most certain Switzerland has a very good local service between all her major cities.Unlike most of Europe, who drastically reduced the rail system.Switzerland did not, consequently thier rail network is very good.Especially during the winter months

  4. Try this link it shows trains running on the dates you mention timetable link is in the bottom right corner of the page

    http://uk.myswitzerland.com/en.cfm/trave...

  5. www.sbb.ch    Swiss rail

  6. Swizerland has one of the most reliable Rail services in the world. I haven't used it in over 10 years but I'm sure you'll find the service you want on the day you want. Just turn up a bit early on the day. Good luck.

  7. Trains are every half-hour and take 2 hours 42 minutes.

When you use train web sites, you need to be able to spell the station name in the local language - and in Switzerland there are 4 of them!  You want to travel between Geneve Cornavin (or Geneve Aeroport) and Zurich Hbf

  8. The Swiss Railways are awesome. They are totally reliable. Even if you don't know the timetable it's no problem. They will run,  they will run frequently and they will get you there quickly and effortlessly!
