  1. The bus fares used to be really cheap the last time I was there but apart from one or two services the buses run from resorts to Valetta so you would have to go from Bugibba to Valetta then from Valetta to say Paradise Bay

    Try this website:-  http://www.gov.mt/servicecluster.asp?s=1...

There may be some help for you.

  2. Your hotel the Karrane is in St. Paul's Bay. Your are about two blocks to the buses that will take you to Mellieha. The beach there is Gadira Bay. It takes about 15, 20 minutes by bus from St. Paul's. You can also take the bus to the Qawra bus terminal (5minutes) and there you can can buses to Sliema, Golden Bay both places you can swim. Golden Bay is very good for swimming. There is also a couple of small beach areas in Qawra you can swim in. The buses are really cheap. Don't leave without going into the capital city of Valletta. From your hotel you can get there by bus (very cheap) and it will take you about 45 minutes. When you enter the city gate ask any Maltese where the "Upper Barracca" is, you are a 5 minute walk away. It is sort of a garden with breathtaking views of the harbor and a great place for pictures. There are churches on almost every corner from the times of the knights, you'll enjoy just walking around the city. There is also a excellent musuem of Fine Arts in a palace that used to house the knights on South Street in the city. Stunning paintings, if that's your think. Also Don't miss Mdina. That's the fortress city that sits on a hill and used to be the old capital. It had a moat and you can see it to this day. Lovely medieval city to walk around. Also breath taking photos can be taken from the rear. Enjoy your adventure!!!

  3. buy a map when you arrive...use the bus ..cheap and interesting..?.the drivers are not the most cheerful people.... all journeys are short..small island.....make sure you visit:-

valletta.mdina,gozo..and anywhere else that you fancy....its a brilliant place

  4. Not long at all , I think the island is only 14 miles long anyway! Go to the little islands Gozo and Comino, , have a nice time, Malta is beautiful.
