Hi,

I currently hold a B1 visa to travel to the US on Business, and my employer has started processing of my L1 visa. Can someone please suggest if the following is feasible:

I travel to the US on my B1 and continue to be there while my employer files L1 papers, and then get L1 stamped from Canada or somewhere (without having to return to my country for stamping).

Also can you please advice as to what are the minimum conditions that my company should meet in order to apply my application through L1 Blanket.

Much thanks in advance for your advice.

  1. It is possible to have your L1 stamped in Canada, but that is entirely at the discretion of the US foreign mission.

As for the Blanket L1 Petition, if your case is legitimate, then certainly your company is aware of the requirements.
