  1. No.

You need to go to portaguese embassy in London and sort out your passport

  2. no, you have to do it in an embassy in england

  3. they said it all.

but before you go to Portugal, try to write better in portuguese.

    (it's "indentificação")

  4. You need a valid passport or identity card to travel from England to Portugal.

You can apply at the Portuguese embassy in London  or visit their website (in portuguese only)http://www.secomunidades.pt/web/londres/...

    Portuguese Embassy in London:

Portland Place nº 3 London W1B

    Tel: 207. 29.137.70

    207. 29.137.78

    207. 29.137.85

P:S... As LaLee below has mentioned ... there is an agreement between certain EU member states but the UK has not signed that agreement, therefore, and considering the high security factor in airports these days, I doubt you will be allowed through security or to board a plane without a valid passport/id.

European Agreement on Regulations governing the Movement of Persons between Member States of the Council of Europe - http://conventions.coe.int/Treaty/EN/Tre...

  5. First of all, as already said, you can renew your passport at the Portuguese embassy in London.

However if your passport has become invalid for a period of less than one year, you still can use it for travel through those countries who have signed the European Agreement on Regulations governing the Movement of Persons between Member States of the Council of Europe, as of 13th December 1957.

The countries en route, France, Spain and Portugal have signed that agreement.

  6. If you do not have a passport or an official country ID card (for those countries which have this system) then no, you cannot travel outright

You can however just contact the Portugese embassy in the UK, and arrange a renewal passport as a standard process.  This is normal for people who live in a different country to renew their passport.

If you need to travel at short notice they will (normally) be able to offer a speedy service, but this will of course cost more as well

So you don't need to travel to Maderia just to renew your passport (or to get a new one for a lost/stolen one)
