Travelling to Belgrade, Serbia.. anything I should really know about?

I'll probably travel to Belgrade from London this summer, is there anything I should really know about, just general stuff?

Is it safe, expensive, do they speak English etc?

It wouldn't be safe for you to be shouting for the independence of Kosovo in the middle of the street. Reply if asked, and say you know nothing.

People speak English, perhaps just about anyone you would be potentially interested in communicating with, unless you prefer the WW2 generation peoples.

I find it not expensive to move around in Belgrade, unless you start looking for exclusive corners.
