  1. once you reach to their Airport, there are banks want you to come to them for exchange currency.

  2. There was an ATM at the Cairo, Airport and I withdrew money from my US bank account in Egyptian Pounds while my husband waited in line to clear customs.  It was very easy, just make sure that you let your bank know that you will be overseas.  Later, we used the exchange services at our hotel, but the rates were better at the ATMs.

Have a great time - Egypt is a wonderful place!

  3. you can wait till you arive to egypt. its pretty ok but use airport or currency exchange shops not people to ensure uptodate value of your dollars.

  4. most of the hotels in cairo have an authorized bank offices inside the hotel itself  and you can exchange  currency at these offices in good prices   24 hours  a day 7 days a week  or at the nearest bank to you in the working daily hours from 8:30 am to 2:pm except friday and saturday have a nice trip

  5. The exchange rate in Egypt is better for you than in other countries. Today the dollar =5.34 Egyptian pounds. It is stable so do not worry that it will go down.

There are banks in the airport and in hotels. There are also exchange offices in all parts of Egypt.
