I plan on traveling to Honduras (San Pedro Sula) soon. What are some foreign traveling tips? Any info. about sights and fun activities in the city would be appreciated, too. Thanks.

  1. You might think about heading out to the Bay Islands (Roatan, Utila, etc...).  The beaches at Roatan are much nicer than anything you'll find on the coast.  Flights out to the Islands are available from San Pedro Sula and there are boats from La Ceiba.  The flights are pretty inexpensive and the islands are relatively low cost.  Be careful is San Pedro Sula, particulary at night.  There have been a lot of gang related violence lately.  Take taxis if you are going around the city at night (they are very inexpensive).

You can also get to Copan pretty easily from San Pedro (2-3 hours by bus).  While not quite as large as some of the ruins in Guatelmala and Mexico, they are in very good condition.

  2. Honduras is a dangerous country for traveling better mexico

  3. San Pedro Sula as the city has not much to offer, mainly just Restaurants. You should stay around the area of Circunvalcion, this is were most hotels and restaurants are located and it is safe.  but approximately 2 hours from San Pedro we have the Mayan Ruins of Copan, this may be your first place to visit. THan about an hour northeast you can visit the beach in Tela, Telamar is the place to go. It will cost you about $10 the entrance to the hotel, so you can use their place and this includes lunch. To visit this 2 places you can use Hedman- Alas buses. This is a good bus company. Hope you enjoy your stay
