  1. here s a site on weather in italy in the months you talk about.

    http://www.inforoma.it/weather.php

    have  a good cruise.

  2. Going on a cruise around Italy in December and January is ALWAYS a good idea ! The "real cruiser" is never bothered by weather...Have a great trip! Can I help you in finding some cruises ?

Look here for an exemple :

    http://www.costacruises.co.uk/B2C/GB/Sho...

  3. Those months are actually ideal. Fall through early spring are great for traveling in Europe/Austrailia etc, mainly because its actually like spring over there! Of course no one can really predicts the weather, but if you call the cruise company that you're going through they should have the usual temp. as well as information regarding balcony coverage etc.

  4. Bring a jacket and enjoy. There will be a lot fewer tourists but it will be cold.

  5. I would try weather.com/vacation. It has a lot of valuable information for planning a vacation inlcuding averages, and a "what to pack" feature.
