If the plan goes well, I will be travelling to London from South India (warmer place) this weekend to be there from Monday. What's the climate like ? should I take sweaters/jackets/umbrella ? or is it sunny there now ?

Are there good indian restaurants near university college of london ?

what are the things that you can purchase in London that are often costlier in India ?

  1. weather is quite nice there around 18c to 22 c summer time.. but u cant predict u can chk it up on weather websites... it rains too.. and ofcourse ther are so many indian res. in central london whr the UCL is. Actually you almost find it everywhere :).. n to your last question i dont think u find anything cheaper than in India but yea u can look for electronic devices such as cameras and notebooks you get it at a  better quality u can try at duty free shops( airport shops).. hope dis helps

  2. go to a nicer part of the uk, somewhere in the south coast, brightons nice and has fantastic indian restaurants.. and everything you buy in london will cost more than in india

  3. well...its gonna be summa cos were in july but take a umbrella and some warm clothes just incase coz the weather changes quick here and there rr lovely restraurants here.

    have fun :D

  4. there are LOADS of great indian resturaunts, but sorry to say everything in london will cost more than in india lol

As for the weather, it changes constantly so i would bring everything - umerella, sweater, coat, jacket, t-shirts, flip flops............in other words come prepared hehe :)

  5. The past few weeks it has been lovely and sunny and between 20 and 27 degrees C. However over the weekend  the weather was rainy, however not cold. Over the next week the rain it supposed to continue with some sunny spells. So i suggest that you bring some wet weather clothes and wear layers, as it is not cold,,,, just wet!

Much of the clothing in London will be more expensive unless you go to primark! where you can get t-shirts for £2 ect...

Hope you have a good time and maybe you will bring the nice weather with you! =]

  6. Have a great trip. London is beautiful in the summer. Go to the public parks and enjoy all the flowers.

    For the weather, look at

    www.weather.com and type in London.

I heard that one must always be prepared for rain and fog in London.

The few times I've visited, I have had at least 1 Indian meal, either in a restaurant or just picking up dal and chicken tikka at the food halls in Sainsbury or Harrod's. Sorry, am not familiar with the location of the University College.

  7. Hi guys,

Jet Airways has a brilliant Student Plan for people going abroad for further studies to countries like UK, USA, etc… They offer Excess Baggage Allowance of up to 23 kilos and travel insurance. You get a Matrix Sim Card to call back home and some other privileges, too. Check the link to find out more.

I just thought you would be interested in this offer. Thanks for your time. This is Neha Thomas helping Jet Airways with their Student Plan Marketing efforts.

  8. Why would you want to eat Indian food if you are FROM India?  Try the local cuisine, it'll be much more interesting.

And yeah, you will definitely NOT find anything cheaper in London.  It is one of the most expensive places on earth.

    Have a great time! =)
