Question:

Travelling to Paris. Need help with booking, hotels, the lot!?

Hello, I'm going to Paris this July with my family and I've been given the job of booking everything (yay!)

Firstly, I'll need to book a way of getting there and back, and I was thinking of doing so with Eurostar. Now shall I book the accommodation with Eurostar as well (as they have a 'latest deal' package page) or shall I do so separately? Also what can one do in Paris in 3 days? My mum would like to visit the Louis Vuitton store so I guess that's one thing on the list. Google search tells me that the one situated in 'Champ - Elysees' is the largest one in Paris?

Any help would be great - Thank you!

  1. I would think that an EASYJET.com flight would be the best thing. To CDG take the RER into the city!!

You can do that "biggest Flea market" in the world,.. check that out,.

Google Paris Flea Markets. They originated in Paris i the 1400's

  2. I think you should use "Hotwire" to book your trip. They have package deals, where you can book the hotel, car, and flight. I have found that it is the cheapest way to go. here is the website:

    Best of Luck!!

  3. I guess you are coming from England.

So I advice you to book separately train and hotel. It will be probably cheaper and it's easy to visit alone in Paris.

You will arrive in Paris at Gare du Nord, but don't stay around this train station because it's not very attractive ...sometimes in the evening there are some drunk men ....

To book an hotel, try a chain like Accor. You'll have no surprise. There are different kinds of hotel, all well :

    Ibis 2*

    Novotel 3*

    Mercure 3*

If you don't have too much money, try Ibis.

Note that Novotel is more expensive than Ibis, but if you have children under 16, they don't pay if they sleep in the same room...So sometimes it's worth going there.

To visit, it's better to be in the center or in the west.

But don't worry, metro and buses allow you to go easily everywhere.....and don't forget that Paris is much more smaller than London for the surface : all the main buildings and attractions are reachable easily with metro or bus.

For you program, look at my blog this article :

It's for 2 days ...when you run...so maybe you can do in 3 days being cooler and visiting more !

The shop Louis Vuitton is on the Champs Elysées at the corner or George V avenue...so at the best place !!
