Travelling to Perth Australia

Question

I am planning on taking a trip to Perth in Australia next September 2009, my moms friend lives in the outback so i will be staying with her for a month.

I was just wondering if i will come accross many spiders?

I hate them and im abit worried about it but i wont let it spoil my break, just want to know what i should look out for...

and what part of australia is the most common for spiders?

White tail spiders are extremely dangerous and can cause death. The statement that "the bite from a white tailed spider only causes a mild reaction," is complete nonsense.
