I'm planning my honeymoon to Italy in December, Christmas period. Wondering how would the weather be like? Any snow? (pardon my ignorance). And how would sightseeing, tours, shopping etc be during this period?

  1. With the exception of the Chirstmas and New Years holiday period, December is low season for travel to Italy.  You can except to probably snag some good deals for hotels and tours, but the weather is likely to be poor - cold with an excellent chance of rain.  On the other hand crowds will probably not be a problem at most of the more touristy sites.

  2. I'm Italian And I was past Decembre in Venice

    This winter was pretty warm

But It depends on the Year

usually in december you can have Snow...in Venice(which is the North)

SightSeeing tours everyday...Italy is very very turistic place

Be prepared to meet more tourist then local people

  3. In Florence Venice and Rome the weather is quite cold, but its depends by year. However Florence Venice and Rome with Paris are the most romantic city in the world.

PS I'm italian and i live in italy and i have visited all these city so i can assure you it

  4. I am not recommending venice for winter, coz of cold weather. but Rome and Florence is ok. You can enjoy your honeymoon, coz less crowd for december. Florence is ideal for honeymoon trip. if you have more time , try to move beach side than country side.
