  1. Jan/Feb could still be rainy months .... better to be around March to May if you want to avoid rain especially about climbing Mt. Kinabalu ...

    1) Sabah is a good place to travel to, even alone .. Sabah is blessed with many unspoiled scenic places. It depends really on what you want to do i.e. snorkelling, hiking, sightseeing, good seafood (lobster aplenty) etc ...

    2) Sabah is generally safe as long as you don't go to the hanky panky places ... I mean which city in the world is 100% safe ?

    3) As for climbing Mt. Kinabalu, I think its view on a clear sky is definitely worth it ... after the LONG walk to the peak ... and you can walk the highest suspension bridge if you are are the brave type ... do checkout the link belows ...

    Best wishes to you ...

  2. Yes, you can travel all over Sabah all by yourself. Everywhere is safe, almost everyone speak or at least understand English, so you can always ask people. While traveling, you might find new friends from all over the world because the are so many tourist here (I'm Sabahan btw). We have Tourist Police patrolling 24 hours around every city and town.

There are so many activities you can do on your own - water activities, land activities.

You definitely should climb Mount Kinabalu. It's one special experience especially if you take the new route. You won't regret it. In case you haven't make any booking yet, you better make one cos they are fully book 5 months ahead when i try to book on May this year.

Mail me if you need any more infos.

  3. No.1 : Sabah is an AWESOME place to travel around at. Lots of culture, tradition.... and FOOD. You'll never be able to find seafood like ones in Sabah anywhere else in Malaysia. They are so fresh that you'll be mouthwatering!!!

No. 2 : Well..., It's quite safe I must say. As long as you go to the right places or have a friend or guide with you.

No. 3 : IS IT EVER WORTH IT! I've climbed the World's second highest mountain and lived to tale the amazing tale about it. You'll be so proud that you wish you can climb Mount Everest too! (Just Kidding)

Make sure you have your passport because you'll need it at the airport.

Don't expect to see lots of skyscrapers in Sabah because it's more to nature.

So, what are you waiting for? Pack your bags and enjoy your trip.
