Travelling to barcelona this wednesday!?

HI! I'm off to barcelona this wednesday... i'd appreciate some tips from people on what you reckon are the best tapas bars (non-tourist) and the best night spots to chill out in. I'm staying until Sunday so any ideas you have will be welcome... cheers!

Hi some of the best tappas bars are on some of the back streets.All around the Barrio Gotica.  Just hold on to your wallet.  All of Barcelona is bad for pickpockets.

The ugly bars - which most are, have the best stuff. Fresh tappas, cheap wine, and real people.

Authentic tappas bars are not at all pretty or fancy in the way ours are. We've Anglicized them and given them glamour.

They are 'everyday fare' for the layman after work, in Spain.

My advice is be sure you know what you are ordering when you order tappas.  I ordered some once and what came was not something I really wanted as a snack.
