Travelling to & from, what is the reason?

For Filipinos travelling out of the Philippines what is the main reason?

For those people travelling to the Philippines what is your reason?

I go to US to earn money.

I go back to Philippines to live life.

I work just began a posting in Jakarta. Why? because I like the expat package and I get to go to Bali very often. I have always liked Bali and at one point I wanted to work there. So making money in Jakarta is better than my income in the Philippines, and I get to go to Bali very often, when I used to go there on holidays spending money.

I go back to the Philippines to be with family and friends. I value my roots, and after earning enough, I will go back permanently to the Philippines.

I travel out of the country either for business or pleasure trips. I travel back to the Philippines after all of those trips because here is where I live.

I do not intend to ever travel out of the Philippines to live in a foreign land. While I do understand the various reasons why my compatriots have chosen to live and work in a foreign country (like all my brothers and only sister have done), I am just so in love with the Philippines that I will live the rest of my life here, warts and all.

My main reason is, My husband is American so I need to be with him. We travel back in the Philippines to relax and put behind all the pressure that we acquire here in US.

1. Cheap Exotic s*x.

2. Cheap Food. (Expensive for Filipinos)

3. Cheap Leisure. (Expensive for Filipinos)

4. Play Golf (Expensive for Filipinos)

5. Boracay

6. Palawan

7. Diving

8. Cheap Education compared to home country (Not all Filipinos can have it)

9. Retirement (most Filipinos don't retire, a lot don't have work to retire from)

To go outside the country (Philippines) would be to work, to earn a decent living, to save, to sightsee, to visit relatives, for pleasure or vacation.

To go to the Philippines would be to enjoy a long respite from a hectic life abroad, to see and meet family or relatives one haven't seen for a long while, to sightsee, to visit old or sick relatives, to shop, to frolic in the sun and to enjoy everything native/local.
