Travelling to puerta rico, gran canaria?

I will be traveling to puerta rico on my own is it safe,as it will be the first time I have been abroad on my own.

we were there in november seemed safe,apart from uk touts doing your head in ,dont start a conversation with them,they keep at yoy,if you want something quiter try amadores,about 20 mins walk,or mogan was nice but dont go on market day

Gran Canaria, as well as the rest of Spain is fairly safe, just take the same care you take when travelling, by the way the right name is Puerto Rico, not Puerta. Enjoy!
