  1. Its pretty much the same as before, except no sharp objects, no liquids, aerosols etc, unless they are in a really small container (50-100ml) and in a clear bag which has to go through the scanner separatley.  Laptops have to go separatley....and I had to take my shoes off last week!

But you are only allowed one piece of luggage weighing no more than 10kgs I think for most airlines, and I have had mine weighed!

  2. Came back to Spain last week. The restrictions are still virtually the same, it takes quite a long time to get through all the checks so go through as soon as you have checked in toavoid a panic later and running for the gate. If you dont have the little plastic bag for your 50ml liquids you want in yout bag they will still issue you with one. When I went through the control I had to take my shoes off for inspection (seemed to be random check as not every one was asked to take their shoes off.) I dont care Id sooner be safe than dead!! If you are flying with Ryanair then watch the dèparture screen as it changed twice and I had to run from one gate to another, and the information girl from Ryanair was sooooo rude to me and another passenger because we asked where the gate was for Alicante..........she said in a very "attitude" kind of way "it says on your ticket, that changes can be made, so watch the screen" I did ask where and she replied "if you continue to be abusive I will not serve you"! We were both amazed at this outburst and the other customer asked for her name so he could complain. Good luck
